The XR battery pack combined with a BRUSHLESS motor offers an unbeatable runtime. Bump mode offers a rapid rate of fire, up to four nails per second, so you never find yourself waiting for the gun to catch up. Sequential mode allows precision placement of a nail. A simple thumb wheel gives you easy nail depth adjustment. The firing pin only leaves a very small hole in the wood, barely any bigger than the nail head. In use the DCN660D2 is relatively quiet. Being entirely mechanical, there are no gas fumes. This also has economical benefits as nails alone are quite a bit cheaper than nails and gas. Clearing a jam is very quick and easy, tool free it is a matter of seconds, so downtime is absolutely minimised. Trigger and contact trip lock-off prevent accidental discharge. It takes 16 gauge nails. The batteries are compatible with all 18V XR DeWALT power tools. Supplied with 2 x 2.0Ah XR Li-ion battery packs, multi-voltage XR charger and heavy-duty carry case.
